Marathon Lima 42K

The Lima 42K Marathon is Peru’s premier road race and one of South America’s most vibrant large-scale running events. Held annually in May and organized by Peru Runners, the event draws thousands of athletes from across the globe to compete in the marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.098 km), and 10K. The fast, city-centered course takes runners through key districts like Miraflores, San Isidro, Lince, and the Centro Histórico, showcasing the capital’s coastal charm and colonial heritage. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, the race features categories for athletes with physical and visual impairments, and was the first in Peru to offer braille race regulations and accessible kit collection spaces.
