8th Annual Eve Carson Memorial 5K For Education

The 2023 Eve Carson Memorial 5K for Education is an event to celebrate the outstanding leadership and support of community service Eve Carson exhibited during her time at UNC-Chapel Hill. This year, the 16th Annual Eve Carson Memorial 5K will be held on November 12th, 2023 with registration and check-in starting at 6:30 am and the race beginning at 7:30am! 

We have a great route starting and finishing at the Campus Y. We have reserved Morehead Planetarium Lot for free race parking (250 E Franklin St) from 6:00-10:00am on November 12th so feel free to park there  and tell the lot attendant that you are there for the race. Packet pickup will occur Friday, November 10th from 3:00-6:00pm at Fleet Feet in Carrboro, but if you are unable to pick up your packet in advance you can also pick it up before the race starts.  We’ll have a great banner in front of the Campus Y for you to take your finish line pictures! Make sure you take plenty of pictures and tag us on your social media with #evecarson2023 on Instagram so we can repost you.  We will have a Strava group that virtual runners can join to track their run or walk and compete with other participants throughout the week, increasing the accessibility of the race beyond November 12th and can compete with other runners through 5:00pm November 17th.

The Eve Carson 5K has become one of the most widely supported philanthropy events in the Carolina community, and with your help, we hope to have another tremendously successful event! Proceeds from this year’s event will once again benefit the Eve Marie Carson Memorial Junior-Year Merit Scholarship and the Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund.
