About the event
On Saturday, September 12, 2020,10 a.m., St. Paul's Community Development Corporation (SPCDC) will host its FIRST EVER Walk to Fight Hunger in support of our Food Pantry distribution efforts.
The St. Paul's Food Pantry has been in operation since 1970 when it was established to serve approximately seventy-five (75) persons a month with canned goods donated from local area churches. Today, the SPCDC Food Pantry serves over twelve hundred (1,200) families annually and is building a network of supportive services that is engaging families through non-traditional access points, including through our very own Paterson Public School system.
This year's event will take place at the Garret Mountain Reservation - Great Meadow Lower Picnic Area/5K Loop. The Garret Mountain Reservation is a 568-acre park located primarily in Woodland Park in southern Passaic County, New Jersey, and is one of several National Natural Landmarks in New Jersey.
Join with St. Paul's Community Development Corporation (SPCDC) in recognition of our Food Pantry's 50th Anniversary and our ongoing efforts to fight hunger in all its forms.
*Non-perishable food donations welcome.
