Amazean Jungle Trail

The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports are following the Prime Minister's policy to develop Betong as a sport tourism model by creating the international level sports event "Amazean Jungle Trail". This event is designed to bring a new source of income to the southern border provinces and to promote Betong city as a sports and tourism destination. The hope is that the Amazean Jungle Trail will become one of the leading international trail running events in the future. The competition will take place from Feb 17-19, 2023 at Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel, Betong District, Yala Province. Finishers will be awarded UTMB® World Series points and have the opportunity to participate in the UTMB® Mont Blanc in France. Additionally, finishers will receive 4 Running Stones and 100M Category Performance Index for Betong 160 finishers, 3 Running Stones and 100K Category Performance Index for Betong 100 finishers, 2 Running Stones and 50K Category Performance Index for Betong 50 finishers and 1 Running Stone and 20K Category Performance Index for Betong 20 finishers. The event will take place in the high humidity, rainforest jungle around the Thai-Malaysian border.
