With the Annapurna Ultra we take you to an area of the Himalayas that gives you ”Up close and Personal views” of some of the worlds’ most famous mountains.
You will complete this multi-stage 220km ultra amongst the stunning scenery in a fantastic and challenging environment, while experiencing the life of the Mountain people of the Annapurna region of Nepal – and helping them at the same time.
At the end of each day, we will be staying in local houses and lodges so you get a true experience of life in the mountains while overcoming the challenges of the course. The Annapurna Ultra is more than just a race, it’s an experience that will live with you forever.
There is always a pre-race dinner so you can meet fellow participants and experience the local cuisine, and finish along the lakes edge with food and refreshments to celebrate your accomplishments.
You will utilise mountain steps used by the locals for generations, cross several swing bridges, cross through high altitude forest trails and experience breath-taking scenery everywhere you look along the race.
The 6 day self-reliant event starts Monday, April 6th and finishes Saturday, April 11th 2020. Competitors need to arrive at Race HQ in Pokhara, 200km West of Kathmandu by Saturday 5pm on the 4th April.
Accommodation and Breakfast at Race HQ included for the Saturday night before we depart for the start Sunday morning at 10am. We look forward to welcoming our competitors from all over the globe. Our highly experienced team will have 4 wheel drive vehicles and manned checkpoints along the course should you require assistance or medical help, so although you’ll be self-sufficient help will never be far away.
