Barky Pines Puppy Love 5K

We are so excited to announce four 5TH  Annual Puppy Love 5k Race and Walk.

Thank you so much for joining us! Your support means the world to us and the animals we rescue. You are running/walking for THEM!  The race will be held at Acreage Community Park and be more of a trail/ cross country type run along a beautiful grassy trail adjacent to the preserve area. Enjoy a treelined, shaded run with 2 water stations and a lovely view.

TIMELINE:

Race Day check-in will begin at 7:00 AM- Early check in and packet pick up will be announced as we are closer to race dayOur National Anthem, will be at approximately 7:45AMRace start is 8:00 AM with chip-timed runners at the start line first. If you haven't already, please register your pet. We want to be sure to have their packets ready too. If your pet is participating in the costume contest, be sure to sign up for them either at early check-in or when you arrive on race day. You get your costume contest voting sheet at the registration booth to choose your favorite dressed up pet!

Group formation is made available and provides discounts for groups of over four.

Along with the Pet Costume Contest, come early and visit with adorable and adoptable pets.

Take a chance on the AMAZING raffle prizes that sponsors donated. Visit our sponsor's booths. Have some fun with photo opps ad be sure to see our Race photographer Leonard Bryant for amazing photos. Warm up with NOMAD fitness. Enjoy music by DJ RIZZ and our Emcee Brian will keep you motivated!

VIRTUAL RACE: For those wishing to do a virtual race at your own pace.

FUN RUN/WALK (WITH OR WITHOUT PETS): Even more, we will again have our pet walk/run. Great for those who want to join the fun with no pressure and those wishing to dress up their pet and take them on a stroll - come as you are! Please line up behind the chipped runners

We will have a pet costume contest and fun photo ops, along with raffle prizes for the winners!

Of course, Barky Pines' finest adoptables will be available for adoption! 

With each race we learn and strive to put on a better event each time.  Course maps will be sent to all participants prior to race day, please familiarize yourself with this beautiful park trail. Please also watch for signs and volunteers guiding you. Most of all, HAVE FUN! It's all about pets!
