About the event

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE BIKE CARMEL ROUNDABOUT RIDE
Are you ready for the big ride? There is a lot of pertinent information for us to share, so here’s the breakdown of what you need to know before the event. We look forward to seeing you at the start line!

REVERSE PACKET PICKUP
Riders will check-in at Midtown Plaza near the start line between 7 and 7:45 a.m. At check-in, you will receive a wristband. All riders participating must wear their wristbands during the event. After your ride, stop by the Bike Carmel tent to pick up your finisher prizes, drink, and food tickets, and other Bike Carmel goodies. (This way, you don’t have to carry your stuff on the ride or make an extra trip back to your car before the start!)

SATURDAY MORNING

The start time is 8 a.m. but check in starts at 7 a.m.

The start line is on Elm Street in front of Javahouse

Parking is located in the Midtown North Garage (access from Veterans Way, see map below)

West Rd and 116th St. - on the 50mi route, this is a busy road with lots of hills that can hide cyclists from cars. Stay alert and use a light!

Helmets are required. All routes are open to two-way motorized traffic.

Cyclists must follow traffic laws at all times.

Be aware of possible heavy traffic on Main Street for the Carmel International Arts Festival

Aero bars, penny farthings, and unicycles are not permitted for safety reasons. Participants using non-standard bicycles must wear brightly colored clothing and attach an orange flag to their cycling unit. Bike trailers are not permitted.

Emergencies - always dial 911 immediately. Mechanical issues - text or call Matt and we'll send a truck to pick you up! 317-281-8479
