For 39 years, TJ Sokol Brno Žabovřesky organized the traditional running race “Brno Twenty Five.” In 2019, the race was taken over by the association MARATON Brno, operating under the brand BehejBrno.com. Annually held in the autumn, the race is mainly used by endurance runners as part of their preparation for longer races during the autumn season. The only year it did not take place was 1968, when our country was occupied by the Warsaw Pact armies. Runners from all around the country and beyond join the race. The original starting and finishing point was located at the Sokol Žabovřesky course, and the track ran through Komín, Kníničky, Rozdrojovice to Jinačovice and back. AC Moravská Slavia Brno, the 40th-year organizer, adjusted the start and finish points to its stadium, and changed the race track. After 51 years of organizing, AC Moravská Slavia Brno passed the baton to the running association MARATON Brno.
