Candy Cane 5K Run

Due to the Michigan Emergency Order effective Nov. 18, 2020, this year's race has been cancelled.  Please join us next year, December 4, 2021!

About This Event:

Kick off the holiday season with this fun, second-year event while supporting a great cause*.  Gather your family, friends, neighbors, classmates and co-workers; don your ugliest sweaters or dress up as elves and reindeer; deck yourselves in blinking holiday lights and come run/walk the Candy Cane 5K!  This is a rain, shine, or snow event.  Catch the sounds, sights, and lights of the season as you travel this relatively flat road race through Stevensville's subdivisions and downtown area.  Fun for all ages and abilities.  Dogs on leashes and strollers welcome.

*Net proceeds to benefit St. Paul's Lutheran School's Scholarship Fund.

(This year's race will be operating with some Covid precautions in place.  Most noted below.  While an outdoor event, participants are still strongly encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask when near others--especially the beginning of the race.  Thank-you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.)

Early Packet Pickup - Friday, December 4th, 6:00-8:30 pm @ St. Paul's Lutheran School Gym (2673 W. John Beers Rd., enter from lower lot)
Race Day Packet Pickup - Saturday, December 5th, 7:45-8:45 am @ St. Paul's Lutheran School Gym (2673 W. John Beers Rd., enter from lower lot)

Race Start and Finish - Right outside Red Coach Donuts, 5811 St. Joseph Ave., Downtown Stevensville, MI

Race Day Registration - As a Covid precaution, there will be NO same day registrations.  Be sure to save your spot on-line by Thursday, December 3, 11:59 pm EST.
Race Time - 9:00 am, 5811 St. Joseph Ave., Downtown Stevensville, MI.  (The race will operate with a staggered start.)

 

Registration Fees:

Due to the Michigan Emergency order effective Nov. 18, 2020, race registration is now closed.  Please join us next year, December 4, 2021.

Registration Pricing - $ 25.00* walk or run.  Reminder ALL registrations must be completed on-line this year by Thursday, December 3, 11:59 pm EST.  *There is a small service charge.

The Refund Policy tab states that there are no refunds for this race.  While this is true, if the race would unfortunately need to be cancelled due to a state mandate effective at the time of the race, participants will be contacted and given three reimbursement options.

 

Tee Shirts:

To be guaranteed a tee shirt, participants must register before Nov. 15, 2020.  Extra tee shirts will be ordered but will be available on a "First Come, First Served" basis.

 

Age Divisions and Awards:

Overall Male and Overall Female
Age Division Awards (Male and Female) - 12 and Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

This year's winners will be announced in a Facebook Live event.   Medals will be mailed to the winners. 

 

Timing and Scoring:

Timing and scoring will be done by Mac's Sports Timing using ChronoTrack technology. As a Covid precaution, there will be no physical results board to view.  Results will be e-mailed immediately after the event.    www.macssportstiming.com
