About the event

One of the elite, world-class running events who had seen numerous world records being broken at its course.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon’s first race hosted 4,200 local participants. A good start, but now, over 40,000 athletes participate in the marathon with millions of excited onlookers flocking to the course to witness greatness running before their very eyes.
Upon the arrival you will be met with a flat and blazingly fast loop course with a starting point in the iconic Grant Park. As you travel through the city, you are going to visit 29 vibrant, diverse and distinctive neighbourhoods such as Lakeview, Greektown, Little Italy, Pilsen, Chinatown and Bronzeville. This route truly encompasses the ‘melting pot of cultures’ aspect of the United States.
There are lots of things done right with the Chicago Marathon. Ease of access to the course is one of them. It is, in part, what makes the Chicago Marathon a beast that it is: we all know that nothing beats a giant, excited and cheerful crowd. So consider taking a support group with you to boost your confidence and share with you the joy of finishing a marathon!
