The Chiquibul Challenge Marathon (CCM) is an annual fundraiser event that supports the conservation efforts of Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic (BWRC) and Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD). The event takes place at Las Cuevas Research Station (LCRS) in the Chiquibul Forest Reserve, a stunning and biodiverse area. Participants can choose to run or walk in either a half or full marathon, all on the logging roads of the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. The event features gorgeous surroundings and a friendly atmosphere, as well as humid and warm conditions. Before the race, there will be a pre-race gathering on Saturday the 16th at Hode's Place in San Ignacio. Registration includes transportation from Hode's Place to LCRS, camping and meals at LCRS, race entrance, and event swag. Prizes are available for all categories.
