Columbus Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk

<<NEWSFLASH THIS YEAR; WE ARE MOVING THE MOTHER'S DAY ACTIVITIES (ALL EVENTS) TO START/FINISH AT MOUNT CARMEL HOSPITAL, GROVE CITY HOSPITAL, LOCATED AT 5300 NORTH MEADOWS DRIVE, GROVE CITY, OHIO, 43123. WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE WILL HAVE A 12 MILE BIKE RIDE ADDED TO OUR EVENT THIS YEAR.>>

This is the 8th Annual Mother's Day Event  in Grove City, Ohio. The Mother's Day 5K will have a start of 8:00AM on Sunday, May 10, 2020. For 2020 we will continue to evolve our Inclusion Revolution Theme from the past two years. We want to fully embrace, invite and attract athletes with disabilities to join activities for the day. For athletes with disabilities, we are going to have a 100 yard Event (Mother's Day 100) before the 5K. We are awaiting final approval from Team Heart and Sole (decision expected in Jan timeframe) to team up with Team Heart and Sole to provide whatever accommodations are needed for athletes with disabilities desiring to safely participate in our 5K. The itinerary for the Sunday morning looks something like this:

Primrose Children's Run Start: 07:30AM; Mother's Day 100 Start: 7:40AM ; 7:56AM Mother's Day 12 Mile Fun Ride; Champions 5K Start: 7:58AM; Mother's Day 5K Start: 8:00AM

The 2019 Mother's Day Event was our best fund raiser yet. We had over 600 participants and volunteers helping our athletes with disabilities. In 2020,Grove City's Buddy Ball will again be our featured charity. Sponsorship monies, event proceeds and donations will go toward Grove City Buddy Ball League. League Play is held during the Spring/Summer/Fall at Mirolo Dream Field at Mount Carmel Stadium in Grove City, Ohio.  Last year's proceeds of $23,000 went toward buying Stadium Lights so more players can be accommodated in our league play.
