About the event

The race begins at Corso Italia, in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites. Then, after a few kilometres, the racers take to the old rail track on a dirt road, travelling through galleries and bridges that appear to be suspended in mid-air with the majestic Dolomites at the side. The highest point of the race is Passo Cima Banche/Im Gemärk (1530 m), which divides the provinces of Belluno and Bolzano, the Veneto region and South Tyrol. After 14 km, the path begins to descend towards Landro/Dürrensee Lake, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo/Drei Zinnen, a universal symbol of the area, come into sight. These are known across the globe for their charm and beauty. A few more kilometres later, the stunning alpine Dobbiaco/Toblach Lake appears, signifying that the finish line is near. The first houses of Dobbiaco/Toblach become visible after the forest, and with the start of the last kilometre the dirt road is left behind. The cheering of the audience, who have gathered in large numbers to witness the event, marks the end of this beautiful and captivating run upon arrival at the Grand Hotel park.IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
