About the event

At the Costa Brava Stage Run (CBSR), you will have the opportunity to explore an incredible environment that was chosen as the best tourist destination in the world in 2012 by the National Geographic magazine. Spanning over three days and 125km, you will traverse the entire Costa Brava, starting in Blanes and ending in Portbou at the border of the French region of Roselló. During your journey, you will pass through two Natural Parks, the “N.P. Montgrí, Illes Medes i Baix Ter” and the “N.P. Cap de Creus”, as well as the Botanical Garden Marimurtra and the Tropical Garden Pinya de Rosa in Blanes, and three regions of Girona, La Selva, Baix Empordà, and Alt Empordà. You will also have the chance to take in the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, Dalinian landscapes, small fishing villages, and kilometric beaches of fine sand, as well as experience adventure, companionship, and coexistence with other runners and staff. Special moments such as the dinner shared with the rest of the runners and staff, during which the briefing for the next stage, the podiums for the finished stage, and the projection of photos and the video summary of the day take place, will make your experience truly unforgettable. The CBSR has been inspired by the successful and now non-organised Costa Brava Xtrem Running, led by the athlete Xavi Marina from Blanes, who has provided great support in order to modify the race and adapt it to the stage race concept.
