About the event

Crater Lake National Park in Oregon is renowned for its stunningly deep blue waters and impressive mountain peaks that are reflected in it like a giant dark-blue mirror, making for a splendid sight. It is the USA’s deepest lake at 1943ft deep, and also the only national park in Oregon.
The park’s south entrance is open all year round and provides access to Rim Village and Mazama Village, along with the Steel Visitors Center. In winter, visitors are only allowed to go up to the lake’s rim and back down the same way, as no other roads are plowed. The north entrance is only available from early June to late October, conditional upon snowfall.

The Crater Lake Rim Run is a must-see event that should be on everyone’s bucket list! Featuring the rugged Pacific Northwest mountain terrain that encircles the majestic Crater Lake, the event includes a Marathon, Half Marathon & 6.7-Mile Run/Walk, which participants run around the rim at altitudes ranging from 5,980 to 7,850 feet above sea level. To ensure the best experience, the race field is limited to 500 entrants for all three races combined.
