Dash for Dogs 5K

Join us on Sunday, April 29, 2018 for the 5th Annual Dash for Dogs 5K & Strut your Mutt Dog Walk. If you'd like, bring your 4-legged partner and walk or run for a great cause. The 5K course (timed for runners, not timed for walkers) will start at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and follow the scenic paved Greenway Trail along the river. Awards for the top finishers in each male/female age category will follow completion of the run (separate categories/prizes for participants running with a dog). All walkers and runners will be entered to win great prizes, which will be drawn after the awards are given. NEW this year: a special prize for the top fundraiser.

The Dash for Dogs 5k is one the very few road races that allows you to run with your canine companion. Your registration fee will go directly towards the care of the over 4,000 dogs, cats and other companion animals that the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society takes in annually.

Note: Dogs must be on standard leashes (no flexi-leads) and current on all vaccinations.

The race starts promptly at 9 a.m. Arrive one hour in advance to pick up your race number or to register.
