Dellagrazia Run

Posidonia, formerly known as Dellagrazia, is a settlement located in the wide bay of Finikas, 10 km away from the capital of Syros, Ermoupolis. For many years it has been a favorite destination for wealthy Syrians. The name Posidonia is derived from the ancient Greek god Poseidon, while Dellagrazia is taken from the small Catholic church, Madonna de la Gracia (Virgin of Grace), located in the village. As you cross the center of the town, you will come across many neoclassical mansions with beautiful gardens and grand private towers. The most notable of these is the Tsiproina villa, a historic and protected monument. For the more adventurous, the Dellagrazia Run is a series of running events designed for everyone - 3km Fun Run, 5km Energy Race and 21.1km Frankosyriani Route (for men and women). Run, have fun and enjoy the unique and stunning landscape that has made Dellagrazia a popular meeting point for runners from all over the region.
