Marão Peaks Challenge

The Desafio ao Cume do Marão is an immersive mountain experience built on the principles of ethics, solidarity, and respect. Athletes, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators come together to embrace a challenging trail-running adventure. The course follows eleven pre-marked mountain trails, traversing the wildest and most rugged mountain range in mainland Portugal. Despite its moderate altitude, the Marão range offers a demanding and technical challenge, with steep climbs, rocky descents, and breathtaking panoramic views. Beyond the competition, this event highlights the privilege of running freely in nature.
