Elizabeth River Run 10K & Mile Races

 

This is a 10K on a flat & fast point-to-point course starting at Old Dominion University, running around campus then heading North on the Elizabeth River Trail through gorgeous, historic tree-lined neighborhoods along the waterfront, over the Hampton Blvd Bridge with sweeping views of the Elizabeth and Lafayette Rivers and finishing in a verdant private park at the Port of Virginia.   Tidewater Striders will be partnering with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, a local 501(c)3 non-profit. The Elizabeth River Trail is a 10.5 mile multi-modal public trail that will host the Elizabeth River Run. The ERT Foundation's mission is to enhance and activate the trail, making it safer and more beautiful for runners, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.    2023 ERR 10k will be Hosting the RRCA Virginia State Championship!

 

ENTRY FEE: Early Bird $35 for 10k until December 15th /$45 until March 31st, 2023 / $50 until June 30th, 2023/ $60 until August 31, 2023/ $65 until race day, and $20 for the mile until August 12 2023/ $25 until race day. Strider Club members receive a $5.00 discount up until the close of online registration. Strider Plus Runners are also discounted until the close of online registration.

AWARDS: 10k - top 3 overall female and male finishers in the following categories: Overall, Masters, 19&under, 5-year age groups 20-74 and 75+. Top male & female walkers. Youth age group awards for the one mile as well.    Prize money will be awarded in the top 3 male and female and overall male and female masters winners in the 10K. 1st place Male & Female Overall $250 2nd place Male & Female Overall $150 3rd place Male & Female Overall $100 1st place Male & Female Masters $100

 

TEAM COMPETITION All clubs and groups are welcome. Will be based on age-graded results, and the 1st place team will be awarded the ERR Cup. You can Register your team and sign up for the team when Registering for the race on run signup.   AMENITIES & POST -RACE FESTIVITIES: Quality race shirts and finishers medals, Post-race Party is Back with Local Craft Beer, Food, Live Music, and Vendors   PACKET PICK-UP: Advance packet pick-up will be at  Smartmouth Brewery in Norfolk, VA on Sept 1st and Sept 2nd.
