Evening Street Color Run

Let's Get Colorful with the Evening Street Elementary School Color Run.  The run is an untimed event that celebrates fitness, fun and community.  With no winners or official times, the Color Run caters to everyone---first time runners to seasoned athletes but most importantly our Worthington Community.  It’s a color party with a purpose.  All proceeds from the event support Evening Street Elementary School.  This is open to all students, family members, and community! The color run will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Worthingway Middle School.

Participants will be doused in fun color powder along the route.  The course is a .5 mile loop around the middle school with 3 color stations.  The longer you run, the more colorful you get.  For those wanting the full experience, run the 2 mile route and get doused 12 times.  Bring your blankets and stay while trophies are handed out for the most colorful, most enthusiastic and more.  The night is complete with a DJ, food trucks and a color splash before heading home. 

We ask for children in grades K-1 to run with a parent or older sibling. Non- school age children can run with parent free of charge, but will not receive race kit. Each participant that is registered by April 17th is guaranteed a goodie bag with a color run T-shirt, sunglasses, 5 dollar candle lab coupon and more.  In addition, this is a colorfully messy event.  Participants may want to bring a change of clothes, old towels and wipes for after the event.

As part of the color run, we are also holding an online auction.  All the proceeds will go towards providing current technology, playground upgrades and other valuable educational tools for our students.  We have a variety of gift cards and merchandise from local businesses to bid on today.  We will continue to add items through the last day of the auction so be sure to come back and look frequently.  Don't miss out on these fabulous offers.
