FLIP’s 10TH ANNUAL DARBY CREEK TRAIL RUN – 5k + 10k
We are back and bigger than ever in 2021 to celebrate the 10th edition of the DCTR!!! After hosting our race virtually in 2020, we are so looking forward to 2021 and being back in person this summer. We will continue to monitor the Franklin County Covid-19 guidelines, as the health and safety for all those involved with the DCTR has always been our No. 1 priority.
The course will be a 5k and 10k trail run through the picturesque but challenging terrain of Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park. The 5k is relatively flat and can be enjoyed by runners and walkers of all skill levels. FAMILY FRIENDLY!
The 10k is a true challenge ending in a stair climb that has become infamous among the Columbus trail running community.
In keeping with FLIP’s goal to encourage a cancer preventative lifestyle, FLIP encourages every level of fitness to come out and enjoy the scenery!
Running strollers are allowed on the 5k course, but not the 10k.
FLIP recognizes that cancer prevention requires a dynamic shift in our thinking and is empowering individuals to engage in preventing cancer using a holistic approach:
Fight- Fighting together to challenge cancer risks outside of our individual control.
Live- FLIP is all about having fun and living life to its fullest… the best way to prevent cancer!
Inspire- It’s so worth it to challenge yourself to reach friends and family (We’ll help you!)
Prevent- FLIP’s goal is to make prevention fun, approachable, simple and community-driven.
It’s easy to “FLIP” — We are connecting community partners to provide an entire network of support and building an interactive website that aggregates and simplifies everything you need to know. It’s engaging! FLIP is not only an attractive, energetic brand, it’s a movement; empowering people to shape & make it their own along the way.
It’s fun! Get out and enjoy being active with friends and family. Stay involved throughout the process via social media, organized activities and unique outings.
