About the event

The Generali Milan Marathon is one of the most renowned sports events in Milan, consistently engaging both athletes and citizens, and gaining international attention. The 2015 edition saw a single-loop route, beginning and ending in the city center, which has been gradually refined since. The modern and complete course caters to both professional and amateur runners, offering them the opportunity to view the city's historical and contemporary features. Awarded the Silver Label of the IAAF and the FIDAL Gold Label, the 2019 competition is set to further increase its prestige by becoming the only Italian marathon in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings. By running in the streets of Milan in April, participants can gain points to qualify for the World Age final in London in 2020. NOTE: Those not registered with an Athletics Federation must have a Runcard and a medical certificate to participate in the marathon. Purchase a Runcard at www.runcard.com.
