Gibson Park Hilltopper 5k

Join us for the 2021 Gibson Park Hilltopper 5k on Sunday, August 29 in High Point, North Carolina with a 2:00pm race start.  Participants will take part in a premier event hosted by one of the leading adult/masters Running, Track and Field clubs in the US, the Piedmont Pacers. Runners will enjoy an exciting running atmosphere at one of the areas best greenways, Gibson Park! Many awards including the largest medals you'll see are on the line including overall, masters, teams and 3-deep in each age-category by gender.   Race site: Gibson Park 5207 W. Wendover Ave High Point, NC 27265   Schedule: - Packet pickup and late registration at Shelter 3:  1:00pm - 1:50pm - 5k race start: 2:00pm - Virtual Awards ceremony: On or about 3:00pm - End of event: 4:00pm   Course Details:
- An exciting down and back 5 Kilometer (3.1 mile) path using the Bicentennial Greenway (paved sidewalk)  - Water at the turnaround - The race path is a public course so runners will need to be mindful of others on the trail including cyclists, runners and walkers   Awards:
- Top-three male & female overall 
- Ten-year age-groups top-three male & female (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100+)
- Team awards for top-three fastest combined teams (top 4 runners with fastest time on a team)   Race Fees: - Now to August 23:   $25.00 - August 24 to August 28: $35.00 - Race Day in-person only, August 29: $45.00   Other Details: - Registration, post-race refreshments and parking at Shelter 3 - Members of the Piedmont Pacers get a 10% discount and there is an option to join the team as a new member during registration - Pets and runners with strollers are unfortunately not allowed to compete in this event due to safety reasons - Please maintain social distancing and follow CDC guidelines - Race is subject to change in light of current events. If the event is for any reason cancelled refunds will be issued
