Girls on the Run Community 5K - Birmingham

The 2016 Girls on the Run Community 5K will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 9:00 am at Marconi Park. The downtown course is certified, flat, and fast to set your best record. The 3.1 mile loop will include many cheer stations to keep you going and make the race fun! Girls on the Run is a girls empowerment nonprofit. We inspire 3rd-8th grade girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. We host a 5K race each spring that is the opportunity for our girls to participate in a 5K race they train for all semester; it is also our biggest fundraiser.
