Glacier Peak Institute

We have often seen guides and organizations from outside of our community come and recreate then leave. All the economic benefits go to those outside our community. This purpose of this race is to 1) fundraise for GPI, who continuously works to make the outdoors more accessible for rural, marginalized youth and; 2) to have a recreational event that originates from, within and for our rural community. We welcome you to partake in supporting our community.

Our 12k will be held on Sunday June 6th and Sunday August 15th, 2021 at the White Chuck Bench Trail. The race will be point to point. Parking will be at the White Chuck Boat Launch and runners will be shuttled up to the top of the trail and run back down to their cars.

Our tentative half-marathon will be held on Sunday August 15th, 2021. The race will be loop, starting in the White Chuck Boat Launch parking lot, go along Forest Service Road 22, and follow the White Chuck Bench Trail back down to the start. There will be no shuttle. A decision for this race will be made after our June race.
