About the event
The Goodwater event features Double-Marathon, Marathon, 16-mile, and 8-mile races on one of the most technical, rugged, and remote trails around Central Texas. The San Gabriel Trail, also known as the Goodwater Trail, is a 26.2 mile trail circumnavigating Lake Georgetown.
For those attempting the Double-Marathon or Marathon, this is a remote and rugged race course that requires a high degree of technical acumen and self-reliance. Despite the pervasive technical dimension of this trail, it is a fast course for skilled trail runners.
For those newer to the sport, we have 16 mile and 8 mile race options that offer plenty of opportunities to hone your technical trail running skills.
