The 5th Annual Goody Goody Turkey Gobble, Tampa’s Thanksgiving Day 8K, 5K & 1 Mile Walk will take place on Thurs., Nov. 28, 2019 beginning and ending in front of Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa 33602

What is the race day timeline?
5:30 am Plaza at Amalie Arena opens
To ensure a mandatory on-time race start, race day registration & bib pick up will NOT be available.
6:30 am 5K & 8k Corral Staging
Participants with baby joggers/strollers or pets must line up in designated corrals
7:00 am 5k & 8K Races Begin—staggered start times for runners & walkers will be announced!
7:15 am 1 Mile Walk Begins
8:00 am Announcements & Awards

What is the price of the race and is it timed?
The 5K and 8K events are chip timed, the 1-mile event is not chip timed.
5K: $25 until midnight 6/31/19; $30 7/1/19– 10/31/19; $35 11/1/19 until midnight 11/26/19*
8K: $30 until midnight 6/31/19; $35 7/1/19 to 10/31/19; $40 11/1/19 until midnight 11/26/19*
1-mile walk/run - $15 until midnight 11/26/19*
*Pending availability, registration will be open on-site at bib pick-up from 11 am - 5 pm on 11/27/19

What is included in the participant registration price?
Chip timed numbered bib (8K & 5K); non-chip timed bib (1 mile)
Gender specific dri-fit shirt—8K & 5K only—size guaranteed if registered by 11/10/19
NOTE: Shirts are not guaranteed if registering after 11/11/19
Finisher medal for ALL participants: 8K, 5K & 1 Mile!
Post-race Goody Goody breakfast (participants only—must wear race bib!)
The opportunity to create/continue a new Thanksgiving Day tradition with family/friends!

Are there Awards for the 8K & 5K?
Awards presented to Overall 1st place M/F and to Overall 1st place M/F youth (ages 9 & under)
1st place only M/F awards in the following age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

When & Where is Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up?
Pre-race packet pick-up will be held at the Central City YMCA, 110 E. Palm Ave, Tampa 33602
Mon., Nov. 25, 2019 8 am – 2 pm
Tues., Nov. 26, 2019 1 pm – 7 pm
Wed., Nov. 27, 2019 11 am – 5 pm
To ensure an on-time race start, race day registration and bib pick up are not available!

Can I pick up someone else’s race bib or can someone pick up mine?
Yes, you can pick up for others or have them pick up for you, however, the person picking up bibs must bring a copy of each person’s registration confirmation or photo ID

Where do I park on race day, Thurs., Nov. 28, 2019?
Parking is available in the Fort Brooke and South Regional Parking Garages. Limited street parking is available in the downtown Tampa area.

Is gear-check available race morning?
Gear check/hold is not available on race day.

Are bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, wheeled shoes or other wheeled transportation allowed in the race?
For safety reasons, except for participants pushing a baby stroller/jogger, no wheeled vehicles including but not limited to scooters, rollerblades, rolling shoes and bicycles are NOT allowed on the race course. Participants pushing a baby stroller/jogger will line up in a designated start corral.

Are dogs allowed at the race?
Yes! However, they must be registered on the race registration site. The capacity for dogs is 150 and registration will close once that number is met. For safety reasons, dogs must be on a non-retractable leash not to exceed 6’. Owners must clean up after them and will line up in a designated start corral.

Do you need volunteers and how can they sign up?
YES, we always need volunteers! Sign up tasks & times are under the Volunteer tab on the race registration site at: https://runsignup.com/Race/Volunteer/FL/Tampa/GoodyGoodyTurkeyTrot

Where can I find 5K & 8K race results?
Results will be available on-site following the race and a link to results will be emailed to all valid email addresses post-race.
