The 5K Run/Walk is a key supporting event for the Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry, a faith-based, non-profit, volunteer-operated pantry based in Taylor. The pantry is committed to "Ensuring No One Goes Hungry" or without adequate nutrition in Taylor and surrounding communities: Allen Park, Brownstown, Dearborn Heights, Romulus, Southgate, and Woodhaven.
