Happy Soles 5K walk/run

In 2020, Happy Soles participants helped Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry purchase enough food to distribute over 1.6 million pounds of food to 12,118 households. For all of those that laced up their sneakers in 2020, we can’t thank you enough for your support of the Fish and Loaves mission. But we need your help again this year!

Happy Soles is going virtual again this year but  with 3 new twists:

THE CHALLENGES

1.     The Tag line for 2021 is: MILES FOR MEALS.  

2.     Our 2021 goal is to SURPASS the number of households that Fish & Loaves served in 2020, in miles: that’s 12,118 miles! We challenge you to run or walk, cycle, swim, or row as many miles as you can between May 1 and June 13, 2021 to contribute to the total event miles. You can do this indoors or outdoors, so weather isn’t an excuse!  If we work together we can fulfill the Fish and Loaves Mission of “Ensuring No One Goes Hungry” in 2021.  

As a participant, you will have the ability to upload your miles and track your progress as well as see the entire event's progress. Simply log onto your personalized dashboard and upload after each activity. We will share your event progress and the amazing efforts of our supporters across all of our socials to keep the fun going.   

3.     The final piece of the challenge comes in the form of fundraising! Registration for Happy Soles is $30 per person but this year, due to increased demand for food resources, we’re encouraging you to fundraise as you strive to hit your mileage goal. Within your dashboard, you have the ability to create a fundraising page to track your efforts and share them with friends and family using your own social and email channels. Help motivate them to join you in the miles or in fundraising for your goal!

100% of ALL proceeds will help Fish & Loaves purchase food for households in 2021. 

T-shirts and Medals will be handed out on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry in Taylor. It would be great if you can pick up your t-shirts and medals but if that is not possible, they will be mailed to you after June 13th.     *Event t-shirts run big, so plan accordingly when you register.
