Hoosiers Outrun Cancer

Hoosiers Outrun Cancer is one of the oldest and largest 5K run/walks in Indiana. The course covers part of the beautiful Indiana University campus. The race traditionally features a 5K Timed Run and a 1 Mile Timed Kids Run, while offering a 5K Family Run/Walk, and 1 Mile Family Run/Walk. A virtual option is available for those that wish to participate but not attend in person. 

Since 1999, HOC has raised over $4 million to support people impacted by cancer in south central Indiana. Funds raised by this event under the guidance of Bloomington Health Foundation launched Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana (CSCSCI) in Bloomington, IN. The new office is located at 1719 W. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47404. This office provides counseling, nutrition & wellness, exercise classes, art therapy, music therapy, reiki, massage, a wig boutique, financial assistance in the form of grocery and gas cards, and social connections to cancer patients, survivors, family members, care givers, and friends. All programs and support provided by CSCSCI are completely FREE to anyone impacted by cancer in South Central Indiana -- so no one has to face cancer alone.
