The OMV Half Marathon Altötting has been a staple of Bavaria for 29 years and has recently achieved a Five-Star Quality Road Race rating from both European Athletics and the German Athletics Federation - making it the first of its kind in Germany! Starting out small, it has grown to include a 6 km road run, a 1300 m hobby run, and has earned recognition from Runner's World as one of the top half marathons in Germany.Situated in the Altöttinger Forest, 80% of the course is paved on forest paths, offering a unique nature experience. It is also one of the fastest courses in Germany, with the best women's time at 1:08:38 and the best men's time at 1:01:39. The OMV Half Marathon Altötting also offers "mood mile" at the end of the race, with Samba drummers and a hard rock band to cheer you across the finish line.
