Kaiser Permanente Thrive Half Marathon & 5K

Save the date of Sunday, October 3rd on your calendar for a little exercise and lots of FUN!  Franklin County Metro Parks are among the best in the whole state of Ohio and Three Creeks is the best of the best!  So, whether you are looking for a longer distance or a fun 5K, we have it all with your choice of distance, a Half Marathon, a 10K or a 5K.  

TIME:  8:00 am 

WHERE:  Three Creeks Metro Park - 3860 Bixby Rd, Groveport

ALL ABOUT IT:  Each participant will receive a great technical tee-shirt, race number, finisher medal, post race refreshments and free parking. 

RATES: 5K / 10K = $40       Half Marathon = $55 

COURSE MAP:   

PACKET PICK-UP:   There will be no pre-packet pick up for this race.  You may pick up on race morning starting at 6:45am at the park shelter near the starting line.  

RATE SAVER: Ultrafit offers a friends/family discount to any group of 4 or more.  All you need to do is register together and the discount will automatically apply at check-out.  If you are unable to register all of your group together, just email [email protected] and a special coupon discount code will be issued to you. 

PARKING:  Parking for racers will be FREE.  

COURSE:  This is a paved running trail that weaves throughout open grassy fields, thick beautiful forests, across bridges, and more.

WATER STATIONS:  Water stations will be available on the course.  

STROLLERS:  Strollers are allowed on the race course, we just ask that you line up near the end for your safety and the safety of other participants.

POST RACE FOOD/DRINK:  After you cross the finish line, ULTRAFIT you provide free water and packaged post race snacks so you may replenish and refresh.

AWARDS:  Custom finisher medals will be awarded to ALL participants as they cross the finish line.

RUNNER AWARDS: PERSONLIZED plaques will be produced upon request for top three finishers by age group and gender for the Half Marathon, 10K & 5K.  The age groups are as follows:  19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

WALKER AWARDS:  PERSONALIZED plaques will be produced upon request for the top three OVERALL WALKERS in the Half Marathon, 10K & 5K.  

Requests may be made by emailing [email protected] before  October 10th asking that your plaque be produced.  Because of production costs the deadline of August 1st is firm.  In your email request please indicate if you would like to have your plaque mailed or if you would like to pick up at Columbus Running Company in Dublin.  Because the plaques are personalized with the individual name, it may take up to 21 days to receive the award.  

SAFETY GUIDELINES:

GET VACCINATED! This is a no brainer but we also realize that not everyone will be on the "same page."  We're not here to judge but only to make recommendations based upon what we have learned from the CDC.  The CDC reports that outdoor events are venues least likely to spread the Coronavirus. Regardless, whether you are vaccinated or not we ask you to wear your face mask when at packet pick-up and in the staging area for the start of the race.  

​Sanitizer:   Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the designated race "staging area".

​Wave starts:  We will have "Wave Starts" according to your estimated finish time. It also helps with social distancing since each "wave" will consist of fewer people.

​Water station: We're still working on this but we will probably have uncapped bottle water at the "turn-around" water station. Runners and walkers who choose to grab a bottle are asked to dispose of the bottle located near the fluid station OR continue to hold onto the bottle for disposal at the finish line.
