The marathon and half marathon routes takes you to most of the spectacular sights of Kathmandu, some are still damaged as result of the earthquake but still worth seeing. On the marathon route you will pass Durbar Square in Patan, the center of Kathmandu and Swayambhunath also known as the Monkey temple because of all the monkeys that live there. You will cross Boudhanath and see Pashupatinath where the Nepali people hold cremations in the open air. The ashes are spread in the holy Bagmati river which you will also cross. We expect all participants to respect the Nepali people and their rituals along the course. Anyone not following these rules will be removed from the marathon.

Sehr kleine Teilnehmerzahl. Dadurch läuft man schnell alleine.
