Knock on Woodstock Pleasant Ridge - Camp Spearhead 50k - 25k - 5 Miles on May 11th @ 8am   Upstate Race Series is presenting the Knock on Woodstock ultra series that will be held at a Pleasant Ridge in Marietta South Carolina. These particular events will be held on a 5 mile loop that wraps around the entire Camp Spearhead which is home to year long camps for children with disabilities. Camp Spearhead is a summer camp in South Carolina for children and adults with special needs. It provides a safe and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities to participate in various recreational activities, such as swimming, horseback riding, and arts and crafts. The goal of the camp is to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and develop new skills in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. The camp staff includes trained professionals who work to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, as well as to provide support and assistance with daily activities. Camp Spearhead is committed to promoting independence, self-esteem, and a sense of community for individuals with disabilities. It is our goal to aid any and all runners willing to accept this challenge with a fully stock station at the start of the loop with several bathrooms, access to crew stations, music, entertainment and an encouraging hand! This race welcomes ALL! I encourage you to grab a friend and come out and view what the beautiful park and Greenville County has to offer! Proceeds will go directly to Camp Spearhead along with any donations you would be willing to supply this camp for their needs throughout the calendar year.    Race Day Details Where: Camp Spearhead - Pleasant Ridge County Park When: May 11th @ 8am Address: 4232 SC-11 Marietta, SC US 29661 What: Festival of races that brings people, food, and a bit of running and entertainment for the weekend Packet Pickup: Will begin at 7am at Fireside Hall adjacent to participant parking Overall Awards will be given out at the conclusion of the top 3 finishers. The start and finish loop is also located near our aid station, tent area for and cabin rentals. The course has 450 feet of gain per 5 mile loop and is generally wide and rolling. There is shade over 90% of the trail and the park will be closed for our race only! The course will have a series of directional arrows that will be placed at all intersections. Please follow all directional arrows to stay on course. In the event that you make a wrong turn please backtrack to your original spot of confusion. Cutting the course (even if unintentionally will lead to a disqualification   Personal Tent Set Up - Drop Bags
Athletes who are not camping are permitted to have a drop bag or personal tent near the aid station in the open field adjacent to the start/finish line loop outside of fireside hall. Even if it rains. Please be mindful to place your personal belongings off the course as to not impede the runners, the flow of traffic, or other race participants. The start and finish line loop will serve as the official drop bag area designation. When you are finished with your race please "pack in and pack out" making the host facility look better than you found it.
  Address Runners can park at the following address:4232 SC-11, Marietta, SC 29661. There is a short 5 minute walk to the trail headquarters from the parking area. Therefore we will establish a drop off loop for runners to drop off all personal items before parking their vehicles. We will be keeping the park gate open for the duration of this event. We advise all runners to carpool if possible. Packet pickup that morning will also be located there.    Aid Stations There will be one aid station per the 5 mile loop. Items may include: pickles, cookies, chips, Little Debbie snacks, assorted candy, chicken/veggie broth, fig newtons, & pretzels. Liquids will include water, Tailwind Nutrition, coke, and ginger ale. If you would like to donate an aid station supply of something that we do not offer or that is homemade feel free!  Cup-less Event: Please provide your own hydration vessel for use at our aid stations
