The Race of the Saints, held on November 1st each year, is an event that has been growing in size and has reached its 2023 edition with thousands of participants. This race aims to give visibility to the celebration of All Saints, bring attention to a humanitarian crisis and promote the values of sport in the Salesian tradition. Its scenic route, which goes through Rome's historic center, among squares, churches and palaces, and the presence of athletes competing alongside entire families celebrating, makes it one of the most beautiful races in the world.People of all levels of skill are welcomed to the competition, including professional and non-professional athletes, champions and beginners, regardless of their rankings in national and international standings. The 15th edition of the Race of the Saints will take place at St. Peter's Square, with television coverage provided by Canale 5.This event also serves to raise awareness for various charitable initiatives, with famous personalities such as the Paralympic athlete Giusey Versace, American athlete Carl Lewis, Indonesian/French singer-songwriter Anggun, fencer Valentina Vezzali, singer-actor-entrepreneur Al Bano, and long jump and triple jump specialist Fiona May, as well as Olympic Champion Marcell Jacobs in 2022, all serving as testimonials. A telephone fundraiser will also be held during the Speciale TG 5 dedicated to the Race.
