DESCRIPTION
Lamp for Haiti 5K raises funds to benefit the non-profit Lamp for Haiti.
Through the provision of quality cost-effective medical care and
humanitarian assistance, the Lamp for Haiti works with and for the
people of Haiti to improve the lives of some of the most marginalized
persons in Haitian society. Their work is done in collaboration with
local residents, other Haitian professionals, and both governmental and
non-governmental partners. Lamp for Haiti envisions a time when the
communities they serve will meet their basic health and humanitarian
needs on a self-sustaining basis.
Racecourse runs down Park Drive West to 2nd Ave circling around to Park
Drive East to finish at Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. The course is
USATF certified. Runners and walkers welcome.
7:30am - Check In
8:00 – 5K (3.1 mile) Run
10:15 – Awards
Awards: Top male and female finisher in age categories 18-24 continuing
in five-year increments to 75.
