LECOM 5k

Join us on the beautiful downtown Bradenton Riverwalk to run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) course and cross the Pittsburgh Pirates/Bradenton Marauders Finish line!  All proceeds from this event will be contributed to the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, helping to defray the educational costs of our future health care providers from LECOM.

LECOM encourages an active lifestyle, especially when physical activities were limited for much of the past 2 years. What better way than to get our community together for a celebration of health and fitness and participate in a 5K run/walk event.

The 5K race will start promptly at 8:30 am (please note: the 5K is walker friendly). Runners and walkers can help themselves to a post-race breakfast provided by our wonderful sponsors while they cool down and wait for the announcement of the winners of each division.  As you cross the finish line you will be immersed in the Bradenton Farmers' Market with live music, locally grown food, and live healthy cooking demonstrations. Marty the Marauder will be there cheer you all the way to the finish line! There will be opportunities to take pictures with the Bradenton Marauders Mascot as well. 

There will be LECOM volunteers spread throughout the course to direct participants along with a water station at the 1.5 mile mark.

Register- online by Feb 1 to be guaranteed a shirt on race day.

Saturday 2/18/23: table will be located near the start/finish line on race day.

Parking is at The City Centre Parking Facility is located at 3rd Avenue West between 10th and 12th Streets, which is a short walk from the start line.

Registration Fees:5K Run- $30 through October 7th; $35 through December 7th; $40 through Feb 7;$45 through Feb 17; $50 race day registration.

Top overall male and female, Top GRANDMASTER male and female, First person overall 1 mile walk,  & Also, 5 year age group awards for first, second, and third place (male and females) <14 15-19, 5year up to 75>.
