Jean Baptiste Simukeka grinded past more than 2457 runners to win in 02:17:08. He bested Youness Zitouni who crossed the finish line one minute 45 seconds behind him. Ahmed Nasef (02:20:01) made notched third place.
For the women, Alemu Maru Tsehay finished first in 02:29:59 , followed by Nikolina Sustic who finished with a time of 02:42:34. The third place went to Laura Biagetti with a time of 02:50:48
