his is a fantastic race!!! you can start from the heart of the traditional Lima to Miraflores (the most touristics neighborhood) and finish in an amazing "Parque de las aguas" . Also, should be the most competitive in Peru, you can see and run with peruvian top athletes who travel since many regions of Peru to participate in this event.

I’ve been recommended this race for years but didn’t have the opportunity to do it as I live overseas. This is year I’ll be doing it and I’m super excited as the course looks great as well as the entire event! :)

Best race of the year in Peru! Incredibly organized with an amazing vibe! I have run multiple races in different countries and this half marathon stacks up superbly against any international event. Highly recommend it!

If you´re looking for a half marathon with a great course and world class standards, I highly recommend Lima´s Half Marathon in September. I ran the half marathon for the first time in 2015 and I fell in love with the city. Plenty of water and Gatorade stations along the route and the start and finish make for awesome photo opportunities! Very picturesque and colorful! Also have to mention that Lima has perfect running weather, with an average temperature of 19 C / 66 F. If you´re a food lover like I am, you´ll love the post-race dining options because Lima is the culinary capital of South America, not to mention just a short distance away from one of the world´s man-made wonders, Machu Picchu!

I ran the Lima Half Marathon 6 times (2009-2014). This race was always the highlight of my annual racing calendar; it has something for everyone. If you want to run a PR, the course is flat and the competition is fast. If you want an experience, it is a great way to tour Lima on foot – the race starts in the Plaza de Armas, passes through the Historic Center of Lima UNESCO World Heritage site, runs to and parallels the Pacific ocean, and then cuts inland to finish in a large park with many interesting fountains. I recommend this race to anyone.

Special and unique race that offers you the possibility to start at the historical center and takes you through Lima’s centuries of development all the way to the business centre and Mariflores, definitely my favorite race in the peruvian calendar!

Great race! The whole event is incredibly well organized, starting with the fun and welcoming pre-race day training session with Peru Runners (definitely a must!) until you get your medal at the end of the race. Looking forward to the next one!

This is one of the biggest events in Peru and takes you through a beautiful route. Running is one of the best ways to know a city and this half marathon is an amazing opportunity to do just that! And after the race you can enjoy a cebiche by the beach! I run this in the racing wheelchair division as this event continues to support inclusion for people with disabilities in sport! I will run it again this year!
