Kilkenny prepares for battle!

Kilkenny provides the historic backdrop for Ireland’s first Medieval Marathon. On September, the 17th, participants will set off from the grounds of Kilkenny Castle at 1pm for the Full and 30K 2pm for the half and 2:30 pm for the 10k. The route will take in some of the most historic sites in the city before winding out the country roads, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish on The Parade in the heart of the city.

The city will also play host to a 30k, half marathon and 10k, with all participants arriving back at The Parade.

All finishers of the Kilkenny Medieval Marathon will be rewarded with a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt to celebrate the battle victory!
