About the event
Mukteshwar is an attractive place nestled atop a mountain at 2,285 meters above sea level in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It takes its name from the 350-year-old temple of Mukteshwer Dham, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Offering stunning views of the majestic Himalayan range, Mukteshwar is a popular tourist destination. Inspired by the five Himalayan peaks that can be seen from Mukteshwar and along the race route, the RunGreen foundation has organized the first edition of the Mukteshwar Ultra in this beautiful mountain town. All proceeds from the race will be donated to a local charity in order to build the capacity of the social sector in India.
