Na Heihei A Ola - Waimea Town Celebration Fun Run

Join us on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 for the 47th Annual Waimea Town Celebration Fun Run: Na Heihei a Ola. We have 3 distances to choose from and we can't wait to see you all there!

Check In Info: Check in for all races will begin at 5:30am at Waimea Plantation Cottages. We will provide transportation to starting line at Paʻulaʻula Historical Park (formerly known as Russian Fort). Buses from the Cottages leave at 6:30am to the starting line for opening ceremony at 6:45 so please be sure to check in on time. All three races start at 7:00am.

Race Packet Pick Up: We will have a tent sent up on Friday, Feb 23rd from 4-9pm during the WTC Ho'olaule'a, located at the Old Waimea Sugar Mill. This packet will include your event shirt, race bib and safety pins. If you are not able to come Friday to pick up your packet please ensure you arrive early enough on Saturday morning.

Course Details:  All runners will run over the Waimea Bridge together and through Waimea town, with the 2K fun run/walk ending at Waimea Plantation Cottages. 5K and 10K runners will continue through town along the makai side of the highway. 5K runners will turn around near the Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor and run back to the Cottages to finish, while 10K will continue running towards St. Theresa's then turn around and return to the Cottages. We will then announce times and winners of each age division for 5K and 10K runners.

We're excited to announce our new route which will better showcase our beloved Waimea Town! The bridge will be closed for about 15 minutes as all runners cross, as well as single lane closure through Waimea town ensuring safety of all runners. We encourage runners of all levels, including keiki and walkers for the 2K.

Pricing: Initial pricing is $30 for youth under 14 and for all 2K participants, and adults $50 for 5K/10K. Prices increase on race day to $60 adults/$40 youth. We also have discounted fees for teams and groups of more than 10! We encourage students and staff of our local schools to join your school's team. If you have a large family/team from your business or other groups please inquire about making a corporate teams!
