How do the Moving Forward for NAMI LV: 10th Annual Virtual 5k and Challenges work?

We have three options this year: a 5K Virtual Race, a 10-Day Challenge, and a 21-Day Challenge.

The 5K Virtual Race can be completed where and when you want, indoors or outdoors, between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, 2020. Upload your time and photos on the Results page. 

***September 30, 11:59 PM, is the cutoff time for uploading your results.***

However, registration remains open for all events until September 30. If you register for the 21-day challenge after September 11, or for the 10-day challenge after September 21, you will need to retroactively upload data for activities that you already completed any time between Sept 1 and Sept. 30.

For the 10-Day and 21-Day Challenges, you pick what activities you want to do to keep Moving Forward for NAMI LV. Enter the time in hours and minutes you spent on the challenge activities each day on the Results page between Sept. 1 - Sept. 30. Your challenge days do not have to be consecutive. You can mix and match any activities you like. Upload photos, too!

Download and print a custom bib and your finisher’s certificate for all 3 events.

What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is similar to a traditional race except the participant completes it entirely on their own. There is not a required location where the event must be completed nor a mandatory day or time except the event dates, September 1 through September 30. Racers upload times to our site. Winners are determined after the event closes. 

You asked for teams, so we're giving them to you!  Teams are optional. 

Create teams for the 10- or 21-day challenges . This is great for families, friends, club members, and colleagues! Each member of the team that logs the greatest number of activity hours wins prizes. (Team are 5 members or less.)Create or join fundraising teams. Fundraising teams may be as large or small as you wish. The captain of the fundraising team that raises the most amount of money wins prizes.  When you register for an event, you will be given the opportunity to create your own team fundraiser or to join one of your friend's teams. You must first register as an individual fundraiser before creating or joining a team fundraiser.

PRIZES awarded to:

Top 3 female and 3 male individuals in all 3 events (5K, 21-day, and 10-day Challenges). 5K winners determined by uploaded times, Challenge winners determined by uploaded hours of activity. All 5 members of the challenge team (both 10- and 21-day teams) that logs the greatest number of hoursThe captain of the fundraising team that raises the most amount of moneyThe individual who raises the most amount of money.

What do these winners get? Gift cards, commemorative edible medals (the only event in the region that gives these!), and a winner's certificate. We will mail prizes in October (USA only).
