About the event
The Navy-Air Force Half Marathon will be returning to Washington, DC for its sixth consecutive year on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 7:00 a.m. The race is open to all military and civilian runners. Passing many of Washington, DC Memorials, the course takes runners along the scenic Rock Creek Parkway and the flat and fast East and West Potomac Parks. Runners will receive a finisher’s medal to recognize their achievement in completing the race. Award categories include overall male and female, master (40+ years of age) male and female, wheelchair male and female, age groups, and teams. A runner’s expo will be held during packet pick-up for runners to get great deals on race gear and running products. www.navyhalf.com

Navy-Air Force Half Marathon
Jeffrey Stein finished first in 01:10:20. Kieran O’connor secured second in this year’s race with a time of 01:10:55. Finishing third was Kyle King (01:11:03).
For the women, Lindsay Carrick claimed victory with a time of 01:20:57 . She bested Maura Carroll who crossed the finish line 2 minutes 7 secondes behind her. While Kerry Allen came in third at 01:23:46

Paul Thistle grinded past more than 1911 runners to win in 00:25:18. Constantine Matsakis earned runner-up honours with a time of 00:25:56. Rounding out the top three was Jack Butler with a time of 00:25:58.
For the women, Evonne Heredia scored victory with a time of 00:12:59 , ahead of Emily De La Bruyere (00:28:33). Kelly Calway got the third place in 00:28:44.
