Norske Fjellmaraton

At the Norwegian Mountain Marathon, the whole family can partake in an extensive range of activities, no matter the age. These include the Marathon, Half Marathon, Mountain Goat 10 km Cross Country, Minithon 7 km and the Kids Race 800m. The start of the Marathon is around 900 meters above sea level and the highest point is 1400 meters. It finishes at Beitostølen, Norway near the 900 meter mark. Runners will go from Besstrond across a paved road and into the breathtaking and empty mountain scenery, before finally ending in Beitostølen. The Half Marathon will start at the top of the Marathon course, and runners will descend to the same finish line. About 1500 participants come each year to the national park to experience the demanding Norwegian Mountain Marathon.
