Old Hallowell Day 5K

Course for 2019: The Old Hallowell Day 5K road race on July 20th, 2019, will follow the same course as was used in 2018. Last year we intended this to be a temporary change but we received so much positive feedback that we decided to continue with the out and back course starting and finishing at Vaughan Field in Historic Hallowell. This is the same site that has been used for the finish area for many recent years. The race course begins at Vaughan Field and travels south through the Middle Street residential area and then out the Litchfield Road into Hallowell's country side with a turnaround point near the intersection of the Litchfield Road and Smith Road. The course returns along the same route to Vaughan Field. There is a gradual incline going out and then the course is primarily downhill on the return. Please join us for this fun festive annual tradition.

Registration: The field will be capped at 250 participants so please register online in advance as there will be limited availability for race day registration. Registration closes Thursday July 18th. Race t-shirts will be available for all registrations received by July 1st or while supplies last.

Number Pick-up: 6:00-7:00 AM at Vaughan Field located at the north end of Middle Street in Hallowell, Maine. The race starts at 7:30 AM. 

Age Categories: 1st M/F Overall. 1st M/F in the following age categories: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Teams: Three runners per team (not age based): 1st Male, 1st Female, 1st Mixed gender. Pre-registration is required for teams. Teams can not be added on race day.

Free Fun Run: Open to kids 10 and under. Held at Vaughan Field immediately following the 5K and before the awards for the 5K. All children (up to 100) will receive a ribbon! Come join the fun. No registration is necessary for the fun run!
