Olmsted Spirit 5k

Welcome back to the 2022 Olmsted Spirit 5k! Since 1998 the Olmsted Spirit 5k Run/Walk has been part of the Olmsted Community and we are happy to be back in person for our 24th year!  Race Proceeds will benefit our Olmsted Spirit Scholarship and Community Fund!

Our Mission:

To bring together the Olmsted and surrounding communities for a fun morning of physical activity.  We will continue our duel fundraising goal we started in 2021 to raise funds for scholarships for OFHS graduating seniors who gave back to their community and local small businesses who give back to the Olmsted Community.  The proceeds raised from this event will be split 50/50 between the scholarships and small business fund.  Together, we will make a difference for this amazing Olmsted Community!  

We will all start the run/walk together!  

Our run/walk will start at 8AM!  Our Kids Fun Run will start AFTER the 5k run/2 mile walk at approximately 9:00AM.  The run will start/finish on the Olmsted Falls High School Track.  Post race food, award ceremony, and raffle will take place inside the high school in the OFHS Cafe.  

Registration: Adult Registration: $25 now until race weekend$30 on race weekend Kids Fun Run Registration: $10 now until race weekend$20 on race weekend Team Registration: Middle School and High School (5-7 runners) $75 now until race weekend$100 on race weekend Open 1 and 2, Masters, and Grand Masters (5-7 runners)  $100 now until race weekend$125 on race weekend

**Half the registration cost for each team will be placed in the pool for the raffle (for student divisions) and cash prize winnings for adult divisions.  

**T-shirts are not included in registration.

Overall and Age Group Winners:

We are bringing back Age Group Winners for the 5k run as well as Top Overall Female and Male for the 5k run and Tactical Vest Division.  

The Top Female/Male will be recognized in the following groups:

Ages 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

NEW TEAM DIVISIONS THIS YEAR!  

Middle School, High School, Open (Ages 18-29), Open 2 (Ages 30-39), Masters 2 (Ages 40-49), and Grand Masters (Ages 50+) Team Divisions.  Team minimum are 5 runners with a max of 7 runners.  Scoring will be like High School Cross Country.  5 Runners on your. team will score based on what place they finished amongst the other runners in your division.  (Example: Team X's five runners finished 2nd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 15th.  Their team score would be 39.  Team Z's five runners finished 1st, 3rd, 12th, 13th, and 14th.  Their team score would be 43.  Team X would finish ahead of team Z because their cumulative score is lower than Team Z.). Trophies will be handed out to the top 3 teams in each division, along with some prizes to the top team in each division.  

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up

We will have a Saturday Packet Pick-up and Registration as well as Race Day Packet Pick-up and Registration.  Location and time TBD.  

Race Day Registration will cost $30 for adults and $20 for the Kids Fun Run.  Registration does not include a t-shirt.
