The OPERATION: HOMECOMING 5K race is an event organized by the John "Boots" Stratford squadron to remember and honor Vietnam veterans and POWs who were returned home 50 years ago thanks to Operation: Homecoming which ended April 4th, 1973. All donations will go to Vietnam Veterans of America!
About John "Boots" Stratford squadron and Arnold Air Society:
The John "Boots" Stratford squadron is Auburn University's Arnold Air Society branch. Arnold Air Society is a community service organization for AFROTC cadets that has squadrons nationwide and aims to develop cadets into better leaders and members of their communities through service to others. The John "Boots" Stratford squadron is excited to host this event and looks forward to organizing many more service events in the future.
