Paris Mountain Course Description
Course Map HERE
Elevation Gain is 2300 Feet
The Half Marathon will consist of a single 13.1 mile loop starting and finishing at Shelter #1. The total distance covers 2,300 feet of elevation gain, goes around 3 different lakes, ascends 3 gentle climbs. You may see deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and a variety of other wildlife. The course offers single track dirt, rugged and wide switchbacks, along with steep climbs. There are two waterfalls and 3 beautiful lakes. The course does have a 1 mile section of road on an out and back to the 2nd aid station. The course will have a series of directional arrows (both yellow and green) that will be placed at various intersections. Please follow all directional arrows to stay on course. In the event that you make a wrong turn please backtrack to your original spot of confusion. Cutting the course (even if unintentionally will lead to a disqualification)
Pancake Breakfast
Post race we will be making pancakes for our runners and volunteers! Please bring your own fork and plate. Aid Stations There are two aid stations on course during the 13 mile loop with the first one coming at mile 7 and the 2nd one at mile 9. The Aid station will include such items: salt, crackers, cookies, pickles, oranges, water , tailwind, and soda. This is a CUPLESS event as runners are required to have their own hydration carrying bottles or packs. We gladly accept aid station donations of food items that you like to see at races. Our staff is very busy with course marking, timing, packet pickup, and communication with runners, that it does make it hard to prepare some amazing tasty treats in-between laps so feel free to contribute a little slice of heaven if you can! Thank you Eco-Standard In an effort to be good stewards to mother nature we will not have any of the following items at ANY of our events. This is in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint being placed by endurance events throughout the world. Please have a cup or hydration bottle if you will need to consume water/nutrition during the event. Please bring your own fork/spoon for any post race meals. Please bring your own bags for items collected at the race. Camping: Reservations There are 39 sites are paved, 13 of which offer tent pads. Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 35 feet. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights. Standard Sites with Electricity & Water
