About the event

If you are looking for a unique running event that will challenge you beyond the typical road race and build lasting Team camaraderie...then you are ready for Peak to Brew. The Peak to Brew Relay race presented by Bark Eater Events, LLC is the Northeast’s longest most scenic overnight Team supported relay race at 234 miles. Teams of 12 Runners and 2 Support Vans will traverse the course over 48 unique legs with each runner conquering 4 legs each. The Peak to Brew Relay Race is an event for all levels of runners with total runner distances ranging from 13-27 miles in length and each runners leg ranging from 2-10 miles. The course will take Teams through the heart of the Adirondack Park, around the Maple Ridge Wind Farm, and through some of the most beautiful areas in the Northeast. From an epic Start at the summit of the Adirondack's 5th Highest Peak on Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway to an unforgettable finish and celebration at the historic Saranac Brewery, the Peak to Brew Relay is one of the most unique and challenging events in the Northeast.

The 2015 Peak to Brew Relay Exhibition race is open for FREE registration for Standard Teams (8-12 Runners) and Ultra Teams (6 Runners) on a first come first serve basis (maximum of 5 Teams allowed for 2015). Course Map

The Peak to Brew Relay course will start on the top of Whiteface Mt. Veterans Memorial Hwy in Wilmington, NY and traverse through the center of the Adirondack Park.  Major locations along the route include: Wilmington, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Long Lake, Blue Mt. Lake, Inlet, Old Forge.  Teams will exit the Adirondack Park into the scenic view of the Tug Hill Plateau and accend the Maple Ridge Windmill Farm and journey through the Black River Valley into the Mohawk Valley.  Major locations along the route include: Lyons Falls, Turin, Martinsburg, Lowville, Boonville, Remsen, Holland Patent, Marcy, Utica.  Teams will finish and celebrate at the historic Saranac Brewery in Utica, NY.


Runner Leg Breakdown

The below table shows the Runner Leg Distances for each section of the course and the total Runner cumulative distance over the 4 Legs. Ultra Team Runners will have the option to run Legs back-to-back (4 Longer Legs) or to flow through each section in sequential order to complete a total of 8 Standard Legs.

The 2015 Exhibition Race will be FREE to all Teams. Teams will be required to provide there own equipment (Support Vans, Safety Equipment, Communication Equipment, Food/Water, etc.). All participants will sign a Participants Waiver prior to completing registration.

Minimum allowed participant age is 16 years of age by race day. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult over 21 and have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver and registration.

RACE DAY ITINERARY:
• Team & Volunteer Check-In (Whiteface Mountain Ski Center): Friday 4:30am – 5:30am
• Start Race (Top of Whiteface Mt. Veterans Memorial Highway): Friday 6:30am
• Post-Race Celebration: Saturday 4:00pm – 9:00pm
